Josh Clift is an emerging media composer and pianist based in Sydney. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Music (Composition for Creative Industries) at the prestigious Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

He has scored two short films, and has arranged music for ensembles such as the Australian Christian Orchestra. He has written in classical, jazz, EDM and rock styles, and loves collaborating with directors to help them realise their vision.

Josh has been immersed in music ever since he can remember, learning Classical piano from a young age, and scribbling notes on manuscript paper as soon as he could write. Throughout high school, he performed at a variety of high-profile concerts and venues around Canberra, and completed his AMEB AMusA diploma at the age of 16.

Since then, he has shifted his focus to composition and music production, and is currently pursuing a career in the media industry. Josh’s compositions are harmonically rich, showcasing his many and varied musical influences, including the work of Classical composers such as Chopin and Rachmaninoff, film composers such as John Powell and Hans Zimmer, and contemporary artists such as Nils Frahm and Eric Whitacre.
